NFL Week 13 Last Minute Starts and Roster Moves

I still had 3 spots on my starting roster I was unsure of heading into Sunday. I finally made up my mind, here is the rest of my lineup:

RB Felix Jones
FLEX: Felix Jones/Demarco Murray

Murray has a good chance of coming back this week vs. an Eagles team that is in disarray.  However both he and Felix Jones are questionable.  Since I have both running backs on my team, I will play whichever starts for the Cowboys. I have mentioned before, I like to go with running backs in my flex spot. I feel starting running backs give you the closest thing to guaranteed points. Which means it is somewhat less of a gamble to play a starting running back over a tight end or a receiver. Tight ends and receivers depend on receptions.  With a starting running back, you know he is getting the ball and as G.I. Joe said, knowing is half the battle.

KICKER: Shayne Graham

I made a roster mover here. With his recent injury, David Akers is just too much of a question at this point.  Even if he continues to play through it. I dropped him and picked up Shayne Graham. Graham has a good matchup this week against the Titans. More importantly, he has good matchups in the upcoming playoff weeks. Houston also has the ability to put a lot of points on the board, so I feel pretty confident about this pick up.

OLB and fellow Jersey native Shaun Phillips
DEFENSE:  San Diego Chargers

I'm not crazy about this one because Cincinnati has been hot lately.  Unfortunately there just aren't many viable alternatives available in my league this week.  My league mates are conservative and most keep a backup defense on their rosters.  Personally I think this is unnecessary, I prefer to play matchups when it comes to a defense. That usually means I am starting whoever is playing the Chiefs...  This week they are playing the Panthers who are equally bad. So i think I will just take my chances with the Chargers.

LATE ROSTER MOVE:

Figured I would let everybody know I jumped on the Colin Kaepernick love train.  Since Mohammed Sanu is most likely going on the IR with a broken foot, I figured what the hell. I need to have a back up QB on my roster for the playoffs, just in case Matthew Stafford goes down with an injury.  Don't want to get left hanging in the wind... Kaepernick is better than any of the other starting quarterbacks available in my league and has a lot of upside.
