Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson |
If you are like me and did not keep a backup QB on your team the whole season, Russell Wilson may be your man heading into the playoff roster locks. Wilson has consistently improved his play through the season and has scored over 18 fantasy points a game in his last 5 games. His next two matchups are Arizona and Buffalo, so I would expect him to continue that trend. Arizona's defense is pretty good, but they are spending the entire game on the field because their QB can't get a first down. Wilson is available in 78% of Yahoo leagues, call him maybe? You might also want to take a look at one of Wilson's favorite target's, wide receiver Golden Tate. Tate has reaped the benefits of Wilson's ascension, scoring around 20 fantasy point per game in standard leagues in 3 out of the last 4 weeks. With Sidney Rice's status in question after sustaining a possible concussion on the final play of Sunday's win vs. Chicago, Tate could see even more targets. Tate is available in 70% of yahoo leagues.
Cleveland Brown WR Josh Gordon |
Chad Givens is also a wide receiver worth considering for a bench spot. With Danny Amendola having injury problems lately, QB Sam Bradford has been utilizing the rookie wideout more. Givens has gone for over 20 fantasy points in his last 2 games and has good matchups in Buffalo and Minnesota ahead. He is only owned in 13% of Yahoo leagues.
Good luck to all those who made the playoffs this year. May your rosters stay healthy and touchdowns be a plenty. Daddy needs a new flat screen baby!
