NFL Week 15 Waiver Wire Wonders

There were several standout out performances this weekend by players you can probably find on your waiver wire. Picking up one of these players could give you the push you need in your quest for championship glory. At the very least they could help strengthen your bench in case one of your studs goes down with an injury. Here are my recommendations:
RB David Wilson in his college days
David Wilson RB- This probably isn't too much of a surprise here. Everybody and their mother is jumping on the David Wilson love train, but with good reason. Wilson had his breakout performance Sunday vs. the Saints. He scored 3 touchdowns, one on a kickoff return, and ran for 100 yards. Wilson, a rookie this year, spent most of this season on the bench in Tom Coughlin's dog house because of a costly fumble in the Giant's season opener vs. Dallas. He was third string behind Ahmad Bradshaw and Andre Brown. Brown broke his leg a few weeks ago and then Ahmad Bradshaw went down with a knee injury in the Saint's game. Wilson obviously seized the opportunity, scoring 28 fantasy points in Yahoo standard leagues. If Ahmad Bradshaw misses any time, Wilson could be in line to make a serious fantasy impact. Even if Bradshaw plays, Wilson will see more touches and is explosive. He is at least worth a spot on your bench. Wilson is there for the taking in 67% of Yahoo leagues.

Danario Alexander WR- I really don't understand how this guy is available in nearly half of Yahoo leagues, but he is. Alexander has pretty much become the go-to wide receiver in the Charger's pass heavy offense led by QB Phillip Rivers. He has a decent matchup this week vs. Carolina and is definitely worth a pick up.

Clay Harbor TE- If you are looking for a plug and play at tight end, Harbor may be your guy. Harbor had a big game for the Eagles when starter Brent Celek went down with a concussion on Sunday. Celek has been ruled out of Thursday's game vs. the Bengals, so Harbor should get the start. Cincinnati is a good matchup for Harbor, they tend to give up a decent amount of fantasy points to tight ends. Rookie QB Nick Foles had a great game last week as well. If Foles continues to improve, Harbor will likely benefit. Harbor is available in 99% of Yahoo leagues.

    RB Bilal Powell
Bilal Powell RB- Powell had a good day vs. the Jaguars Sunday, running for 78 yards and a touchdown. He has seen his workload steadily increase over the last few games and has brought new life to a stagnant Jets run game. Powell is now splitting touches with RB Shonn Greene. The Jets have an easy schedule to finish out the season, Powell is worth a look if you could use another running back on your roster. He is open season in 90% of Yahoo leagues.
